Justin Bieber is a Canadian pop/R&B singer, songwriter and actor. Bieber was discovered in 2008 by Scooter Braun, who came across Bieber's videos on YouTube and is now his manager.

Bieber is currently signed to a recording contract with Island Records, which was offered by L.A. Reid. Bieber's debut single, "One Time", was released in 2009 and peaked in the top twenty in Canada and charted in the top thirty in several international markets. His debut album, the seven-track EP My World, followed in November 2009, and was soon certified platinum in the United States. Quite possibly the most highly anticipated arrival of the evening, Justin Bieber was among the star power joining in on the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada on Sunday night (June 17).

The “Boyfriend” hitmaker drew plenty of screams as he arrived at the annual tribute to top musical acts while toting his little brother Jaxon in his arms as he readied to treat his fellow Canadians to an energetic stage effort.

Co-hosted by LMFAO, this year’s MMVAs also boasts performances by other top acts including Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Nelly Furtado, Hedley and Carly Rae Jepsen.

With Marianas Trench holding the lead with nominations in seven categories, Justin is up for three trophies including International Video of the Year – Artist, International Video of the Year by a Canadian and UR Fave: Artist.
