Bieber is currently signed to a recording contract with Island Records, which was offered by L.A. Reid. His debut album, the seven-track EP My World, followed in November 2009, and was soon certified platinum in the United States. It’s Bieber time!

Justin Bieber will appear on this season ofThe X Factor as a celebrity mentor, multiple sources confirm to E! News. He’s reportedly teaming up with L.A. Reid’s team to give advice to contestants after the top 16 acts are chosen.

The “Boyfriend” singer, who was spotted filming in the Hollywood Hills for The X Factor on Monday, tweeted out: long day but great day. @LA_Reid@ScooterBraun just like old times! Thanks

Each judge is given a group of four contestants to oversee, and this season a celebrity mentor will be joining them during the judge’s house round to help out. Rumors are flying around the Internet that Nick Jonas will join fellow Disney grad Demi Lovato as a mentor, but no official announcement has been made from Fox.

In a perfect world, we could imagine judge Britney Spears getting paired with Justin Timberlake (we miss you, year 2000!), and Simon Cowell bringing on Paula Abdulbecause, c’mon, who doesn’t love those two together?
